Udayan welcomes St Joan’s tenth visit

It was on 8 February 2005 that the first visit of students from St Joan of Arc Catholic School, Rickmansworth arrived at Udayan. Today the school’s tenth trip arrived at Udayan – a home for children of leprosy patients in Barrackpore, Kolkata.

The group includes 10 students (Irene Almarcha, Olivia Barrows, Macie Boi, Amy Davis, Victoria Osorio, Carmen Perez Pineda, Catherine Pomeroy, Caitlin Prunty, Ola Szulc, Erin Walsh) together with Becky Bowden, Annabel Barton and Liam Lynch who is also a trustee of City of Joy Aid, UK. They are joined by chair of the board of trustees – Chris Mann.

They were greeted by the newly appointed Director, K L George,  Assistant Director, Adrija Mitra, staff and children with marigold garlands.
