The home founded with the inspiration and help of Saint Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa) in 1970 by the late Rev. James Stevens who borrowed a minibus from Mother Teresa on her instruction to help the poorest of the poorest of the poor which at the time was the lepers of Kolkata.
